ChildCyberGuard

How ChildCyberGuard works

Protect your child's computer in four simple steps. No technical skills needed.

Create your parent account

Register free with your email and a password, and accept the Terms and Privacy Policy. Add your cellphone number so we can help if you ever forget your password.

Download and run the installer

After registering you land on Add a PC. Download the installer on your child's Windows PC — it is already linked to your account, so you do not type your password. Run it, accept the Windows prompt and give the PC a name. Your free trial starts and the page tells you the moment your PC connects.

Choose what to block

Open your dashboard on any device. Tick categories (social media, adult, scams and phishing, stranger chat, gambling, games, video) or add any website. Tick the days a site is allowed if you want a schedule.

Set it and stay in control

Switch on instant alert emails, add a bedtime schedule, and pause the internet or start homework mode with one tap whenever you need to. Review the weekly report every Monday.

What happens behind the scenes

🧭 A smart filter at the front door

Every time a browser or app wants to open a website, ChildCyberGuard checks it against your rules first. Allowed sites open normally; blocked ones show a clear "blocked" page instead.

🛡️ Shields against criminals

Adult-filtering and malware-filtering DNS, plus our own lists of scam, phishing, IP-grabber and stranger-chat sites, are applied automatically according to the categories you switch on. The scam shield is on by default.

⏸ Pause, homework and bedtime

When you pause the internet or a schedule starts, the PC itself switches everything off except your dashboard, so you can always resume. Schedules keep working even if the internet drops.

🚨 Alerts when it matters

If your child tries to open an adult, scam or stranger-chat site, you get an email within moments and the attempt appears on your dashboard. A weekly report arrives every Monday.

🔒 Built so it can't be switched off

It is a protected Windows service. Pausing or removing it needs your email and password, checked online. It restores itself if network settings are changed, and we warn you if a PC goes quiet.

☁️ Your dashboard stays in sync

The PC checks for your changes about every minute and reports the sites visited. If the internet drops, your last rules keep working.

What you need

  • A Windows 10 or Windows 11 PC or laptop
  • Administrator access to install (once)
  • A standard (non-administrator) Windows account for your child — this makes the protection much harder to get around
  • 5 minutes

Windows may show an "unknown publisher" notice the first time you run a new program: choose More info → Run anyway.
